I wrote a ton of poetry when I was in my teens, here’s one of the ones I’m proud of:

Wisdom is a constant teardrop
that knows no living end,
for half are born from beauty
and half injustice send.

Wisdom is an open eye
from which most men have retreated,
for fear of seeing comfort die
and ignorance defeated.

Wisdom is as wisdom does,
and wisdom does as best it can.
But wisdom will not conquer all
’till wisdom conquers all of man.

Wisdom’s an addiction
to all of human thought.
The need to know the truth
and the sense to know what’s not.

Wisdom lets a man
be all that he can be,
and opens up his mind
to allow his heart to see.

Wrote it when I was like 15 or so.

  1. Glad to see you are actually posting things. Not bad for 15. It isn’t necessary to leave me private messages. Those are usually reserved for if you have something personal or private to say. A comment is perfectly acceptable… such as I am leaving you now. E-props sort of give themselves automatically. I didn’t really do it on purpose. so um… welcome to xanga I guess.
