You’ll Never Guess Who Was Busted For Trying To Bug The Office of A Democratic US Senator.

James O’keefe, the fake “pimp” of the infamous ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) “sting” videos.

For those that don’t know, he went from one ACORN office to the next pretending to be married to a woman pretending to be a prostitute, sometimes dressed in a stereotypical “pimp” getout, trying as hard as they could to get ACORN to act improperly or answer their questions about how to fraudulently apply for a bank account, home loan etc.  They had very little success, so they edited the videos to make them look like ACORN was helping them set up a child prostitution ring, when actually they were responding to statements like:

“He’s got all these 13, 14, 15 year old girls from Al Salvador and what’s what- I need to protect them like I know what it’s like and I have to protect them and give them someplace to live.”

Asking ACORN to help them get a home loan to rescue (fictional) 13 year old girls from being raped for money, then editing the tape to make it look like the ACORN workers were helping them rape little girls for money.

Anyway, that guy was arrested by the FBI for posing as a phone repairman and trying to bug the office of a democratic senator.

I’m totally glad he did, because he deserved to be in jail.

In fact he was already wanted in one state for felony wiretapping because of the ACORN videos.

Oh, and by the way, this man was an honored, regular guest on fox news which broadcast his videos as being genuine.

    @agnophilo – What day is your birthday?

  4. I watch the news infrequently, but I did happen to catch when they were broadcasting those videos. I didn’t care to keep up with the story, so I didn’t know that it was all a scam. :S Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

    hahaha,, of course the video was edited,, i edit my video all the time,, for the same reason,, theres more video than can be used…  and a lot of it irrelevant,,,  you obviously skip past the 30 minutes your waiting in the outer office while your victim is in the back room,, you dont start and stop your camera,, you edit..i see the word scam up there,, i personally havent heard anything about it being a scam.. it could be considered entrapment,, if used by law enforcement,, im not aware of any of the footage being used for that purpose tho…felony wiretapping,, hahahaha,, i dunno,,,  if he, or she was wired,,, i dont see how that could be considered wire tapping,,,i also doubt he is in prison,, ive also heard nothing of a trial… you cant be sent to prison without a trial,, well,, you can here,, but i dont think hes here,,, is he?  to give you credit,, you did say jail in the post,,, prison in the comment…most people who can,, bail out of jail,, so id wonder if he really is in jail…now if your caught trying to bug someones office,,, that may be an offense.. havent heard anything about that either..your only source link up there,, links back to this page,,, do you have a source?  just curios,,, dont make any difference to me,,,if he was attempting to wire tap a senators office,,, what id be wondering,, is,, what did he think he had on the senator??another fish who got away,,, hahahahahai wonder what you would think if he was trying to wiretap a republican senators office,,, again out of curiosity,,,  ive stated time and time again,, they are cut from the same cloth,, so,,, it wouldnt matter to me if he nailed someone from either party,,,,your really an acorn fan???   hahahahaha … no need to answer that…

  8. mejicojohn says:

    btw,, i found it,, hes not in jail,, didnt think he was,,,  apparently he wasnt in control of the bug/s,,  and was acting as an observer,, of sorts,,i dunno,,, hahahaha,,, i guess it will come out in the wash…assuming hes a bad guy,,, dont exempt the fact he could have been going after a bad guy,,, or woman i believe in this case…. two wrongs dont make a right,,,  or,,, one wrong dont change another wrong into a right,,,i did see in the article where the senator in question bargained for more medicare benifits for her state in return for voting for the health care bill,,, hahahahahaha,,,  you think that would be ok??  for some reason i dont…  i myself think that would fall real close to bribery…

  9. coolmonkey says:

    I hope they send him straight to ass-bang prison.

  10. tracezilla says:

    Of course Fox News did that, and they continued to do so even after the videos were proven to be rubbish.You’re right, this is disgusting. But, at the same time, I have to grin in morbid amusement, because I’m still glad that he got the punishment he deserves, even if he never actually truly gets punished for what he did to deceive the people involving ACORN. Although, the many lawsuits he and Giles have to go through are well-deserved and a good start. Hopefully, now that they’ve got him pinned down somewhere (although, didn’t he make bail?), maybe that state that wanted him for felony wiretapping can get their shot in now.I read an article about this before I saw your post, so I already knew about it. :p But, really, I have no sympathy for this guy or for those that help him out with this ridiculousness. It was only a matter of time before he was going to get himself into REAL hot water, and I don’t know why he thought this was a good idea. But, I’m glad he did.I will never have an iota of sympathy for people who knowingly and willingly and purposefully deceive the people and break the law. I hope that he is prosecuted to the fullest extent that he can be for this, and then that that state gets a crack at him for felony wiretapping. And, the bitch in me hopes that he and Giles see no end anytime soon to the lawsuits against them.In the article that I read his father had a few gems of wisdom to say about his son, too. I get that he’s the guy’s father and all, but still…the stupidity of the statements…I really hope he was just saying it to show support for his son, rather than saying it because he actually believed his own words.In all seriousness, this should discredit the guy (as if the mountain of evidence proving his tapes about ACORN were bogus shouldn’t have been enough!), but I’m sure its just going to bring everything up to boil again, and those who really just want to believe whatever bad they can about Democrats will simply hail him as a hero and a martyr, although not in such dramatic fashion. I hope.People are going to delude themselves into believing whatever they want to believe, simply because they want to believe it.

  11. SoullFire says:

    Three words – serves him right.He’s now facing criminal trespass, unauthorized access to Federal property under false pretenses for the purpose of committing a felony, which carries charges of up to 10 years in jail and a $250K fine.

  12. Casbahmaniac says:

    BY the way, conservatives were jizzing in their panties over the video he made. I mean come on…a white pimp walks into a ACORN office with Ho in toe? I honestly believe that all the information given in the videos were merely attempts to humor him and not seem rude in doing so. No matter what people think of ACORN, it is most certainly not an evil organization and any attempt to prove it as such is purely based in racism. No doubt about it.

  13. Oh, and by the way, this man was an honored, regular guest on fox news which broadcast his videos as being genuine.Nah, that can’t be. Fox? They’d NEVER do something like that. I’m disgusted with your blog, sir.

  15. agnophilo says:

    @mejicojohn – You are siding with scum and felons.  And here is the affidavit of the arresting officer idiot, o’keefe admitted to his involvement.It’s disgusting that you are suggesting he might be some kind of hero.@coolmonkey – Normally I’d say that’s too far, but for this guy’s it’s just right.@tracezilla@lovelyish – Yeah if the other state is willing to pay to extradite they could get him after the FBI is done with him.  I hope they do.@SoullFire – Hope he gets the max.@Casbahmaniac – The information given in the video?  What do you mean.@Unstoppable_Inner_Strength – Heh.

  16. Muzwah says:

    Oooppsss! Busted!

  17. Casbahmaniac says:

    @agnophilo – The information given by the ACORN staffers…the ones that didn’t turn them away. Apparently, O’keefe spliced in video of himself dressed as a pimp. In the video where the staffers are talking to him and his ho, he is dressed very nicely. The more I read about the whole misreporting of the ACORN video, the more disgusted I get. A whole lot of work to undermine an organization that has policed itself quite well and those stories never make the national press. Just the fact that Karl Rove set out to destroy them and people cheer on Karl Rove? That’s like hoping the Emperor is going to beat the Jedi.

  18. Jal_Phoenix says:

    Do clowns like this idiot even realize that they do more harm to their cause than good?   Idiots.  I guess they figured the phone trick worked in Big Trouble in Little China…

  19. agnophilo says:

    @Muzwah – : )@Casbahmaniac – Yeah I know.  I first heard about the acorn thing when I called into a “teabagger” birther-esque radio blog on blogtalkradio.com, they explained what supposedly had happened (as fact of course) and I was like “so someone went into acorn to do their taxes and they offered to help them set up a child prostitution ring?”  I thought at the time that that’s like someone going into kinkos and coming out with a drug cartel – a bit far-fetched to say the least.So I looked up the videos and was even further confused, because while they seemed incriminating, they never let the conversation go on long enough to give any context, they just played a short clip and said “See!  this is what they’re talking about!”  The context was always given by the film editors.  So I concluded the only way to know wtf this was about was to see the vids un-edited or a transcript.  So I looked for one and discovered they had published the transcripts on their website.  I read the first two and that’s all I could stomach.  EVERYTHING in the videos was distorted to try to villify and destroy these people who were doing nothing wrong.  In the entire first interview the only thing inappropriate the person does is say that they can’t list their job on their taxes as prostitute.  In the end of the first video the “evil” acorn worker is even trying to “save” the fake prostitute and talk her out of hooking. I have SO much more respect for a random crack whore than I do for the people who made these tapes.@Jal_Phoenix – Their “cause” is fame, praise and money for themselves.  The politics are just a means to an end.@The_James_Blog – : )

  20. tracezilla says:

    @agnophilo – I agree, it will be worth it if that state was willing to pay. I mean, seriously, I hate it when people break the law and get away with it. And, I also hate it when they work so hard to deceive the public, especially on the scale that this creep did. He deserves the max that he can get for both, really. And so does anybody who knowingly and willingly worked for/with him.

  21. mejicojohn says:

    felon is in the eye of the beholder,, and according to your felonious laws,, he would be innocent until proven guilty…i believe i stated it made no difference to me,,,   that would be remaining neutral,, in my mind… which is what a juror is charged to do,, remain neutral till enough evidence was presented to him/her to reach a decision…  a police officers affidavit is not not proof… thats what we use here,, or in other words,, you are guilty until you can prove yourself innocent,,, hahahahaha,, of course no one can do that…back to the felony,,, i often side with those who are felons,, felons are determined by law,, much of which i dont agree with,, and,,, hahahaha,, i am not ashamed that i may side with a felon,, if i feel the law is wrong in being there in the first place…branding peiople felons,, is one way your government keeps you in rein,,,,  many times what you consider felenous,,, is actually just….i stated in this case,,, i dunno… if the senator was doing things actually felonous in my mind,,, and he/they,, could prove it by sliding under the table,,,  no,, i wouldnt have a problem with that… most laws are made to protect those who make them,, not average folk…

  22. agnophilo says:

    @tracezilla@lovelyish – I uncovered a scam in my state, people setting up a fake company and having people sell non-existent products for months, pocketing the money, not shipping anything, then starting up somewhere else.  I was “hired” and figured it out by day 2 of my “training” and went to the cops.  I convinced them it was a scam, filled out a report and they said they could shut them down on a technicality (fire codes, long story) but that the other like 10 states where they did the same scam (which I discovered online) and ruined many, many people financially would not extradite because of the cost, they usually extradite for murder etc.So these assholes basically have a license to rip people off so long as no one will shell out the money to stop them.  We only get a chance for justice in this world.@mejicojohn – His first felony he videotaped and then went on fox news and freely admitted to many times.  His second felony he admitted to and has two eye witnesses corroberating.  Legal innocence and innocence are two different things. If you murder 10 people and they catch it on tape, you’re legally innocent until they put you in front of a jury.  You are, however, still guilty as all fuck.

  23. tracezilla says:

    @agnophilo – Yeah, I hate that. What good are laws if nobody enforces them? They’re just words on paper or inside computer monitors, useless without enforcement. And they know that, which is why they do these kinds of scams.

  24. agnophilo says:

    @tracezilla@lovelyish – Yeah, the fucked up thing is we could fund all of it if we stopped bombing the shit out of people who pose no threat to us and giving tax cuts to billionaires etc.

  25. tracezilla says:

    @agnophilo – Oh, don’t be silly! That’s way too easy and the logic behind that thought is likely far too sound for it to ever happen!

  26. agnophilo says:

    @tracezilla@lovelyish – Sadly that makes perfect sense : (

  27. mejicojohn says:

    well,, laws are different in each state,,   as well as the definition of a felony,,, video taping is not a felony anywhere that i know of.. you could be subject to civil penalties,,, but,, there is no such thing,,, again,, as far as i know as a civil felony…  and jail time can not be assessed over a civil trial..  you can be arrested for anything,, to be tried as a felon,,, one must first be deemed by the grand jury that a trial is necessary…  of course im refering to texas,, and laws and classes of crimes vary state by state..wire tapping,,,  not involved in the acorn thing,,, as far as i know,,, i really paid no attention to it,,,  would be a crime,, whether or not a felony,,, i dunno,,,  probably,, for the simple reason a public utility,,, of sorts,,, was implicated…how bout we just wait and see what the judge  says….arguing guilt or innocence here is,,, hahahahahaha,,, kinda silly.

  28. helvetebrann says:

    @agnophilo – Happy unbirthday =)  I’ve got to wait until August 21st!  (Not that I’m complaining or anything =D)

  29. agnophilo says:

    @mejicojohn – In that state recording audio of someone’s conversation without their consent is considered felony wiretapping.  The local authorities said it is definitely a felony.And he’s guilty of a felony regardless of whether he is charged, found legally guilty or serves a day in prison.  He fucking did it.  He admitted to it and witnesses attested to it.Someone does not become morally guilty of a crime once a jury decides they are legally guilty.@helvetebrann – Well that means you already had yours : P  August comes before february, depending how you look at it : )

  30. Good to know I dont keep tabs on that.

  31. helvetebrann says:

    @agnophilo – True =)  But this August signifies my disc replacement surgery which has me kind of anxious.

  32. agnophilo says:

    @helvetebrann – aww : (  Good luck though.

  33. cal2323 says:

    This is the same Mr. O’Keefe for whom Rep. Pete Olson, R-Texas,introduced a resolution praising him for his ACORN endeavor, aresolution signed by 31 other representatives as co-sponsors.I wonder how many will co-sponsor a resolution for him on this project.

  34. agnophilo says:

    @cal2323 – Yeah I know, disgusting isn’t it?

  35. helvetebrann says:

    @agnophilo – Thanks; I’m looking forward to it in a sadistic and twisted way.  I’m tired of being in pain.

  36. agnophilo says:

    @helvetebrann – Well if it’ll help that’s a good thing.

  37. nephyo says:

    O’Keefe is a horrible human being.  Here’san article that describes more of his psychotic history: http://salon.com/news/james_okeefe/index.html?story=/news/feature/2010/02/03/james_okeefe_white_nationalistsI find it utterly depressing that anyone in this country considers this guy a hero let alone an entire popular news network.

  38. agnophilo says:

    @nephyo – I know, he just tries to goad people into doing bad things so he can get them on tape and ruin their lives.  All for self-promotion of course.  And when they don’t go along he just edits the tape and makes it look like they did.This is sociopathic behavior.

Speak yer mind.
