I recently read about the most expensive substance in the world. Now you may say “but the cost of something is determined by supply and demand so it has no intrinsic value!” But what I’m talking about costs what it does because we have to manufacture it. And manufacturing it is insanely expensive.
It costs 62.5 trillion dollars per gram to make (A penny weighs approximately three grams).
So you ready? You wanna know what it is? Any guesses?
Anti-matter. : ) One gram of anti-hydrogen atoms costs 62.5 trillion dollars to produce since it has to be made in particle accelerators a few atoms at a time, and one gram of positrons (anti-matter electrons) costs 25 billion dollars to produce.
This, to me, is awesome.
Rec’ this or, well, pretty much die. How can you not rec’ this? I mean seriously, this is awesome.
